President al-Assad and Crown Prince of Qatar Discuss Bilateral Relations

Damascus, (SANA) – President Bashar al-Assad met on Wednesday Crown Prince of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.

Sheikh Tamim conveyed to President al-Assad greetings from Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifah al-Thani. President al-Assad in return conveyed greetings and best wishes to Emir of Qatar.

Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between Syria and Qatar and progress in joint tourism and investment projects between them, especially in light of the growing commercial, economic and investment relations between the two countries and Syria's encouraging investment atmosphere.

Sheikh Tamim arrived in Damascus on Wednesday afternoon on a business trip regarding the launch of the Ibn Hani Bay tourism project in Lattakia, which costs of USD 350 million  and is located on an area of around 244,000 square meters.
