Japanese Cartoon Movies with Common Culture Values Played in Damascus

Feb 07, 2008

Damascus, (SANA)- The embassy of Japan in Damascus held an exhibition of  cartoon movies by Japanese Director Makotoshinai at Kindy Cinema in Damascus as part of 'Damascus, Capital of Arab Culture 2008' festivity.
Japanese ambassador Masaki Kunieda said in the opening speech of the event that Damascus as a capital was the sound of the most ancient human civilizations.
He added that Japan's contribution in this show reflected its interest in Syria, the cradle of Arab culture.  "The cartoon movies will be played for the first time in the Middle East. Some are directed by Shinkei and others by Komix Campnay," he said.
