"Arab Artists between Italy and the Mediterranean" Exhibition in Khan Asa'ad Basha

Damascus, (SANA) – The "Arab Artists between Italy and the Mediterranean" exhibition kicked off at Khan Asa'ad Basha in the Old City in Damascus.

This exhibition, which kicked off Monday night and is open until March 10th, is organized by the Italian Cultural Center in Damascus and the "Damascus: Arab Capital of Culture 2008" secretariat, in cooperation with the Arab League and the Italian Foreign Ministry.

30 paintings and sculptures by artists from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Italy are displayed at the exhibition, reflecting the cultural and artistic influence and exchange among Italian and Arab artists.

The exhibition includes works of Syrian artists Mahmoud Hammad, Ahmad Ala'a el-Din, Mustafa Ali, Louai Kayali, Adham Ismail and Fateh al-Mudarres.
