Chairman of Arab Press in Paris: Syria Role Is Important for Peace Process
PARIS, ( SANA )_ Head of the Arab Press in Paris Kamal Tarabay underlined importance of Syria's role in the peace process and its effects in solving the Arab-Israeli conflict.
In a statement to SANA on Friday, he said: " The visit of President Bashar al-Assad to France wins an Arab and international importance because it coincides with France taking over rotating EU presidency and France is Syria's gateway on the European and international theatre,"
" It was natural for Syria to participate in the Mediterranean Union for being a Mediterranean state and Chief of the Arab Summit and plays a key role in coordinating Arab positions on the eve of the summit." He added.
Meanwhile, The Syrian community in France said that President al-Assad's historic visit to France and his participation in celebrations of the National Day will push bilateral relations and the peace process forward.
