Doha / Buenos Aires, (SANA) – The Qatari daily newspaper al-Raya stated on Monday that the visit of President Bashar al-Assad to Paris, the meetings he held and his participation in the Union for the Mediterranean Summit reflect positive results for Syria and the failure of plans to isolate it.
In its editorial, al-Raya pointed out that President al-Assad managed to usher in a new age through this successful visit, bringing Syria back to the international circles in a manner that affirms the validity of Syrian policy.
The editorial went on to add that Syria won the bet and foiled plots aiming to isolate it internationally, and that it proved that validity of its directives and its commitment to Arab principles, in addition to bolstering the belief that Syria and its regional role cannot be surpassed.
In Buenos Aires, the widespread Clarin newspaper discussed in detail President al-Assad's visit and its results, describing it as an important event.
In an article published on Monday, the Clarin reported that analysts described the results of the quartet summit between Presidents al-Assad, Sarkozy, Michel Suleiman of Lebanon and Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar as a historical event.
The daily also covered President al-Assad's statements regarding the indirect peace negotiations between Syria and Israel and Syrian-Lebanese relations, pointing out that Syria recovered its international relations with remarkable vigor.
