Damascus, (SANA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah al-Dardari will be visiting France on the 21st and 22nd of July to follow up on the outcome of the successful visit of President al-Assad and his talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Al-Dardari will be holding official talks with French officials such as the the Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment and the French President's General Secretary Claude Gueant, to discuss the future of economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.
Talks will focus on bolstering cooperation in the field of transport, particularly in civil aviation, railroads and marine transport, in addition to cooperation in the fields of energy, gas, petroleum and electricity.
Al-Dardari will also discuss cooperation in communications and technology, the use of information technology and communications to support economic and social development, and the possibility of scientific and technical cooperation and supporting the process of economic and institutional reform and capability-building.
The delegation accompanying al-Dardari will include Director General of Syrian Airlines, Director General of the National Establishment for Electric Power, and a number of technical experts.
