Damascus, (SANA)-The workshop on subsidization of food and agricultural goods organized by State Planning Commission, focused on concept of subsidizing, its kinds and methods and the differences between it and the social service and protection.

Chairman of the State Planning Commission Taisir al-Ridawi, at the opening on Saturday, underlined that the workshop aimed at creating a constructive dialogue among the academics and field researchers on policies of subsidization, exchange of experiences in order to reach into a formula and a contentment on positives and negatives of subsidizing and mechanism of its distribution.

Participants underlined that subsidization is a means to achieve specific aims such as food security, since it is related to policy of the state, its directives and to the foreign and internal elements.

The workshop discusses policies of the agricultural subsidizing in Syria and other related issues.
