Under Auspices of President al-Assad, an International Agriculture Fair Opens in Damascus

Damascus, (SANA)-Under the auspices of President Bashar al-Assad, the 4th Syrian International Agriculture Exhibition SIATEX 2008 was opened in Damascus on Wednesday with the participation of many local, Arab and foreign exhibitors. 

Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Dr. Adel Safar told SANA staff writer in a statement that the fair is very important to match up with the growing pace of production and give attention to the marketing of agrarian products.

The exhibition is organized by the Minister of Agriculture and will last till October 18.

Almost 300 participants from many countries, including Germany, Greece, France, Turkey, Iran, India, Tunisia, Yemen, Iraq, Libya and Syria are taking part in the event.
