Badr Reviews Investment Opportunities in Syria with Arab-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce Delegation

Damascus, (SANA) – Minister of Transport Dr. Yarub Badr affirmed on Wednesday that the facilitations provided by the Syrian government to Arab and foreign investment encourage the involvement of the private sector in the Ministry's various projects.

During his meeting with a delegation from the Arab-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Minister Badr underlined investment opportunities in the fields of air, maritime and land transport in Syria, pointing out to the successful examples of joint projects between the private sector and the Ministry of Transport, particularly in Lattakia and Tartous harbors.

He also briefed the delegation on the planned projects which will be carried out using the BOT principle, most important of which are two roads, one of them extending from the Turkish borders to Jordanian borders while the other connects Tartous harbor and the Iraqi borders.
