Minister of Education Honors Participants in Arab School Sports Championship

Damascus, Oct. 25 (SANA) – Minister of Education Dr. Ali Saad honored on Saturday the participants in the 17th Arab School Sports Championship, which was held recently in Amman, Jordan.

Dr. Saad praised the efforts made by players, supervisors and coaches that led to the achievements in the championship, affirming that his Ministry will provide all possible support to school sports in addition to its support for arts, music and theater.

He underlined the role of coaches in discovering young talents and developing them, adding that a national workshop on developing school championships will be held soon.

Later, Minister Saad, Assistant Minister Dr. Mohammad Mohammad and Director of Sports Education Ali Taha gave encouragement rewards and medals to the winners.

Syria finished second in the Championship, with 15 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals.
